On Sunday we were delighted to welcome the Southern Beekeepers Association to our wonderful apiary at Glen Truan in Bride.
Some people suited up and joined us inspecting our hives, whilst others took the opportunity to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Veteran beekeeper Jimmy Fisher a beekeeper for over 70 years, took the new beekeepers through the hives pointing out little tips and advice, thanks Jimmy.
Our very own Peter Wood gave a splendid demonstration on the Snelgrove technique.
Afterwards we were very lucky to be able to use the cabin at Glen Truan (thanks Lynsey and Helen), and enjoy the spectacular views while having tea and cake.
We will be inspecting the hives every Sunday at 2pm, everyone is very welcome.
