Unfortunately, one of our oldest and most experienced members has died. Jimmy Fisher was 92 and was still an active beekeeper, and although he had downsized a few years ago he still had some hives and was just as interested as ever.
This picture of Jimmy cutting the cake was taken at the Southern District Beekeepers 75th Anniversary tea in June 2022. Jimmy was always willing to help and give advice to everyone and will be sorely missed by us all.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11am on Tuesday 18th June at the Royal Chapel in St. John’s followed be a private interment at Peel Cemetery.
