Surrounded by lots of family and beekeeping friends, Harry Owens, Chairman of the Western Beekeepers and Past-President of the Isle of Man Beekeepers Federation and the official IOM Bee Diseases Inspector, left Ronaldsway this morning for a trip to Burundi to teach beekeeping.
The trip is being organised and co-ordinated by Christian Aid who have also arranged a beekeeping exhibition in the Cathedral in Peel.
Good luck Harry, you go with the very best wishes of all your beekeeping colleagues in the Isle of Man. We are very proud of you for what you will be doing for less fortunate beekeepers in Burundi.
